Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Timbers at Bigwood ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit timbersatbigwood.com (the "Site"), make a reservation, place an online order, sign up for our newsletter, purchase a gift card, submit a private events inquiry, or apply for a job.
What we collect
- Information you provide directly — your name, email, phone, message, and event details when you fill out our private events inquiry, jobs application, or newsletter signup forms.
- Reservation and order data — when you make a reservation (Resy) or place an online order or buy a gift card (Toast), those services collect the information needed to process the transaction. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
- Automatic usage data — pages you visit, device and browser type, referring URL, approximate location (city/region from IP), time on page, and interaction patterns such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement. Collected via Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and standard server logs from our hosting provider (Cloudflare).
How we use it
- To respond to your reservation, order, inquiry, or application.
- To deliver the newsletter or communications you signed up for.
- To measure and improve how the Site performs and which content is useful.
- To run advertising and remarketing campaigns on Google and Meta platforms, including showing you relevant ads about Timbers and Birdie's based on your previous visits to the Site.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Cookies, tracking, and third-party services
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and to support the marketing and analytics activities described above. Specifically:
- Google Tag Manager + Google Analytics — measure traffic, referrers, and engagement. See Google's privacy notice and opt-out tools at policies.google.com/privacy and tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Microsoft Clarity — provides heatmaps and session replay (clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement) so we can understand and improve how visitors use the Site. Sensitive fields and text inputs are masked. See Microsoft's privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — measure ad effectiveness and enable remarketing. See Meta's privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can adjust ad preferences in your Facebook/Instagram settings.
- Resy — powers our reservation widget. See resy.com/privacy.
- Toast — powers online ordering, gift cards, and our newsletter signup. See pos.toasttab.com/privacy.
- Google Fonts and Google Maps — provide typography and embedded maps. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare — hosts the Site and provides CDN/security. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect how the Site works. To opt out of personalized advertising more broadly, visit the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info), or your device's "limit ad tracking" controls.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third-party services listed above (to deliver the features they power), with professional advisors (legal, accounting), and when required by law.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain uses such as targeted advertising.
